Spring Breakers star and former actress Rachel Korine looked nearly unrecognizable during a rare public outing recently.

The mother of three, 38, who played rebellious Cotty in the 2012 crime comedy film, cut a low-key figure during a stroll in New York City.

She wore a long black overcoat over faded blue jeans, a white t-shirt, and white running sneakers.

Korine sported dyed pink hair and donned revealing bikinis for her turn in the film alongside Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Benson.

The actresses portrayed four college-aged girls who go on spring break in St. Petersburg, Florida and meet an eccentric local drug dealer (James Franco) who helps them out when they find themselves in a desperate situation.

Ultimately, they descend into a world of drugs, crime, and violence in a film that was actually written and directed by Korine's husband Harmony Korine, 52.

As Cotty, Rachel played a character who likes to party but is more careful than her friends Candy (Hudgens) and Brit (Benson).

Gomez had the role of Faith, a young women who tries to devote her life to Christianity but at the same time is also friends with the three party girls.

Franco portrayed Alien, who's a rapper, drug hustler, and arms dealer who takes the young ladies under his wing.

Gucci Mane stars as Archie, or 'Big Arch', Alien's childhood best friend who has become a rival drug dealer.

The cast also featured Heather Morris, Ash Lendzion, and Emma Holzer as Faith's friends Bess, Forest, and Heather, as well as Jeff Jarrett as a youth pastor and Russell Stuart appears as a DJ.

Rachel's husband Harmony Korine directed the film and previously revealed that he wrote the screenplay, in part, to make up for his own spring breaks.

As a youth he had been fully devoted to skateboarding, and missed out on what he later saw as opportunities for hedonistic pursuits.

Rachel has described her introduction to acting as something she kind of fell into as a result of her relationship with her husband.

'I never studied acting. It wasn’t even on my radar growing up, the Tennessee native shared to WWD after the widespread premiere of Spring Breakers in 2013. 'It just sort of happened.'

After meeting in their hometown of Nashville the couple were married in 2007.

'Harmony started writing roles for me so I could come with him while he was away filming, so we wouldn't be apart,' she added. 'That was the idea at first; it obviously evolved.'

Over the course of their romance, Rachel has done three features and several shorts with her husband Harmony, but none of the magnitude of Spring Breakers.

She would perform in just three more roles, including the films Druid Peak (2014) and Men Go To Battle (2015), as well as the Cinemax series The Knick (2014-2015).

Since those latest couple of roles a decade ago, Rachel Korine has dropped off the acting scene, while Harmony has written and directed three more movies: The Beach Bum (2019), Aggro Dr1ft (2023), and Baby Invasion (2024).
